A collection of digital art galleries, portfolios and tutorials that are sure to amaze and inspire ^_^
Painting in Photoshop
I have been using Corel Painter for a little while now, and while I
love using the myriad of brushes, I still wanted to learn the basics of
digital painting with Adobe Photoshop. There are so many wonderful
paintings on the net that have been created in PS, I knew I must be
missing something! CGSociety saves the day once again with this great tutorial
on painting with the simpler brushes that PS offers and a lot of
practical tips. There is lots of great info on choosing and setting
your brushes and how to use the smudge tool effectively as well.

Jusin Gerard has some really nice digital pieces in his gallery. You can find more stuff at portlandstudios.com, as well, which is a wonderfully refreshing, flash-based website.

really nice vector style illustrations of celebrities that you don't
want to miss.

Concept artist extraordinaire Feng Zhu's site. The gallery is really a must see, but you should also read his comments on CGTalk

to be a concept artist and to succeed in the industry in general.

Canadian illustrator and animation artist Michel Gagné has put together

shapes with traditional illustration. Take a look at his gallery if you haven't already.
Linda Bergkvist
This amazing artist (What do you mean, you haven't seen her gallery yet?) teaches you about painting realistic eyes and realistic hair at CGSociety.org. Pick up more tutorials from her site.

McFarlane Toys
McFarlane Toys produces unique action-figures-slash-sculptures for the
discerning geek in all of us. They have a some truly great pieces in
the HORROR, FANTASY AND SCI-FI
section of their site. Moreover, instead of simply placing their
figures on a white background, they show them in a variety of settings
and lighting conditions. Anyone illustrates within this genre would do
well to take a look at McFarlane's Dragons Series One, Series Two and Series Three - Quest for the Lost King, as well as the subsequent Series Four, Series Five and upcoming Series Six - The Fall of the Dragon Kingdom. More photos are also available at the main HORROR, FANTASY AND SCI-FI section of their site. Be sure to also check out the Giger, Clive Barker's Tortured Souls and especially the Twisted Land of Oz.
